KATHMANDU: The three-day Mahasamiti meeting of the Nepali Congress continued for the second day on Monday at Nepal Academy, Kamaladi, Kathmandu.

The meeting concentrated on discussions of the drafts which were submitted on Sunday as well as the proposal regarding the amendments to the party constitution which was submitted today.

The constitutional draft which was prepared by the constitutional draft committee in coordination with NC leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula was presented in the Mahasamiti meeting on Monday as the central committee was unable to make a decision on it.

Earlier the central members argued over the president’s role in the collective leadership of the party.

On Sunday NC vice president Ram Chandra Poudel had submitted the political draft, NC general secretary Bimalendra Nidhi submitted the organisational draft, vice president Gopal Man Shrestha submitted the state reconstruction draft and Chakra Prasad Bastola submitted a draft regarding the perceptions of NC on various subjects of the constitution assembly committee.
