Kathmandu, April 10:

Police team from the Narcotic Drug Control Law Enforcement Unit (NDCLEU) yesterday arrested four persons with 1.24 kg of heroin from Ex-Malaysia Kanchanpur Dhading Guest House at Gongabu.

Those arrested are Tewa Tamang, 38, Bhim Bahadur Tamang, 25 and Kanchhi Maya Tamang, 26, of Dhading and Pasang Diki Tamang, 22, of Sindhupalchowk, DSP Bikash Khanal at the NDCLEU, said.

Bhim Bahadur and Pasang and Tewa and Kanchhi are relatives. “During preliminary investigation, it was found that high quality heroin was imported to Nepal through New Delhi from Afghanistan. The peddlers had tried to conceal the narcotics in 106 pieces of capsules,” the police said.
