KATHMANDU: Police in Bhaktapur district on Friday destroyed as much as 500 litre homebrewed hooch that they had seized from various places of the district.

The hooch could fetch Rs 50,000 in the local market, according to police.

The Bhaktapur-based Metropolitan Police Range had invited journalists before destroying the illegal alcohol.
