KATHMANDU: As many as eight persons were arrested on the charge of illegal gambling from Lazimpat of KMC-2 on Thursday.

Police raided the house belonging to Bal Krishna Shahi and arrested him red-handed along with seven others. They seized NRs 30,100 and US dollar 38, in cash.

Police also confiscated 212 playing cards from the gambling site.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
