Absconding fraud convict held
KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police on Sunday arrested an absconding fraud convict.
Narayan Jung Aale (42), a resident of Nagarkot-8 of Bhaktapur, was arrested from Kapan of Kathmandu today.
The Kathmandu District Court on November 6, 2007 has convicted him in a fraud case and slapped six-month jail term and Rs 80,627 fine.
The Court had observed that Aale, the then principal of Nagarkot-based Kent Public School, had defrauded a Japanese national Veyanagif Sachiko of USD 1,151.
Sachiko had sent the amount to sponsor education of one Sashi Jung Aale of Nagarkot, but the principal produced fake bills to snatch away the money himself, according to police.
He had claimed that the student was residing at the school hostel.
Meanwhile, police produced him before the Court, which sent him to the Central Jail for execution of the sentence.
