ADB official says grants will increase

Kathmandu, September 8:

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has expressed commitment to scale up grant allocation for Nepal in the coming years to help the country meet its development needs in the transition period.

Expressing the commitment, Kunio Senga, director general of the ADB’s South Asia Department, however said “such assistance will largely depend on the county’s performance,” according to a press release issued by the ADB today.

Senga was here on a four-day visit. During his stay, Senga met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and other senior government officials and stressed on economic reforms to address poverty and other development challenges, stated the release.
