Additional troop to Sudan peace mission

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police is sending an additional 11-member troop to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

DIG Shyam Bahadur Khadka bid a farewell to them amid a special function in the Capital today.

Speaking at the function, Khadka directed the personnel to complete the assigned duty with a high sense of discipline, while maintaining Nepali security personnel's image in the UN peacekeeping missions.

The troop under the command of DSP Sudhir Raj Shahi would leave for Sudan on Saturday.

Besides the DSP, three inspectors and seven sub-inspectors are included in the team.
