Administrative re-jig panel all set for action

Kathmandu, November 21:

The newly-formed Commission for Administrative Restructuring (CAR) is all set to start its work from tomorrow. The Maoist-led government has urged the CAR to submit its report with recommendations within a year.

“Pampha Bhusal, Minister for General Administration, heads the nine-member commission”, said Yubraj Bhusal, acting secretary, CAR. “The CAR has been empowered to give the best outline to improve the ruling coalition’s administrative machinery save Nepal Army, Armed Police Force (APF), Judiciary and Legislature,” added the acting secretary. The CAR will review the present structure of ministries to chalk out an efficient public administration, which is in tune with the republican model.
