Advertisers Rajdhani concern
KATHMANDU: Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) on Tuesday expressed serious concern about the obstruction in the circulation of Rajdhani daily owing to differences of opinion among publishers and labourers for the past one week.
In a press release, AAN condemned the disruption and called it a “deliberate attack on press freedom and the right to engage in fearless journalism.”
“Repeated threats of
physical action issued to the management of Utsarga Publication Pvt Ltd and intimidation is unpardonable,” the statement said.
“We strongly urge the government to bring the guilty
to justice at the earliest
and do more to discourage such activities in the days ahead,” it added.
