Kathmandu, January 7

The Agriculture and Forestry University in Rampur, Chitwan, and the Tennessee State University, Nashville TN, USA, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on information sharing and collaboration in international research and training activities today.

A press statement issued by AFU said the MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor of AFU Prof Ishwori Prasad Dhakal and assistant Professor Bharat Pokharel as a representative from the Tennessee State University.

Prof Surya Kant Ghimire, registrar, AFU, was also present at the ceremony.

It said the MoU will facilitate exchange of mutually beneficial information and initiate collaborative international research and training program in agricultural sciences, forestry and closely related areas.

It also aims to develop student exchange program between the two institutions.
