Agitators lock IoE offices
Kathmandu, August 9:
Students of the private engineering campuses today locked the offices of the dean and the admission committee of Institute of Engineering (IoE) to protest the IoE’s decision to cancel the registration of the Kathford College of Engineering and Management and of new courses at other engineering colleges. In a statement today, the Association of Engineering Students (AES), said the TU academic council’s decision was not right as it had been made under pressure from the students of the public colleges and has called for the decision to be revoked
at the earliest. The Tribhuvan University executive council had endorsed that courses on BE Electronics and BE Electrical be conducted in the Himalayan College of Engineering and Kathmandu Engineering College respectively from the next session.
