KATHMANDU: Universal Access for Children Affected by AIDS in Nepal (UCAAN) on Friday held an awareness programme while marking the 46th Universal Children Day. UCAAN in a press statement stated that the event was aimed at informing the public about children affected by AIDS in a non-stigmatising environment. The statement further urged for protection of affected children. UCAAN demanded enhanced social protection, legal protection, justice and alternative cares for addressing the discrimination, abuse and exploitation of those affected.
