Alleged hundi operators held

KATHMANDU: Police on Monday raided the New Road-based Muktinath International Business Pvt.Ltd and arrested its operators for allegedly running the illegal business of hundi (transfer of money through illegal channels).

The suspects have been idenfied as Durga Bahadur Shrestha (49), Rajesh Shrestha (23) and Arjun Timilsina (25) of Mangkha-1 of Sindhupalchok.

Acting on a tip-off that the trio have been running the illegal business of hundi, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle Lainchaur, carried out a raid at the firm and confiscated Rs 181,000 in cash, cheques and vouchers from the office.

Police said that they also seized a laptop, a printer and a CPU from the company.

Police said that they investigating into the case.
