KATHMANDU: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari appointed Banshidhar Mishra and Naradnath Bharadwaj as Nepal’s ambassadors to Bangladesh and Qatar respectively on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday.

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee had, on July 8, unanimously endorsed all four ambassadorial nominees, including Mishra and Bharadwaj. The Cabinet had, on June 6, nominated Bharadwaj as Nepal’s ambassador to Qatar and Mishra as Nepal’s ambassador to Bangladesh. The government had also nominated Mahesh Prasad Dahal as Nepal’s envoy to Australia and Dawa Phuti Sherpa as Nepal’s ambassador to Spain.
