Analyse poll defeat: UML

Kathmandu, April 18:

The CPN (UML) today directed all committees under the secretariat to carry out detail analysis of the party’s “unexpected loss” in the recently held constituent assembly election.

This decision was made during a meeting of central secretariat held at party’s central office, Manadannagar, Balkhu, under the chairmanship of acting general secretary Amrit Kumar Bohara.

The party has urged to carry out election appraisal focussing on constituencies and polling centres and conducting opinion survey of all leaders, activists, supports, well-wishers and people.

A press statement issued by the CPN (UML) has appealed to the committees to organise programmes to thank people who cast their votes for the party.

The CPN (UML) has also urged all its ranks not to be disappointed and distressed by the party’s failure and face the present situation unitedly and help the party move ahead with new energy.
