ANNISU-R submits memorandum to CDOs
Kathmandu, January 28
All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union-Revolutionary aligned to Unified CPN-Maoist today handed over a four-point memorandum to chief district officers of all 75 districts.
According to the union, the memorandum was submitted to draw the attention of the CDOs to growing black-marketing of petroleum products and other essential commodities.
ANNISU-R has demanded that the local administration control black-marketing of petroleum products and other essentials, ease supplies and bring down transport fare.
It has also demanded that students be provided 45 per cent concession on public transport.
Ramesh Malla, president, ANNISU-R said, “If the state failed to take action soon enough, it would be difficult for it to control black-marketing in the days ahead.”
Kathmandu CDO Ram Krishna Subedi said the government had deployed all its mechanisms to control black marketing. “Our office along with security personnel are taking action against black-marketeers.”
