Art workshop held to celebrate Nepal-Israel ties

Kathmandu, November 3

The Embassy of Israel in Nepal, in collaboration with Bajra Art Mandal organised an art workshop at Jagat Sundar Bwonakuthi, a government school in Dallu, on Tuesday, to celebrate 55 years of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Israel .

More than one hundred primary and secondary level students, along with their art teachers, participated in the workshop, according to a statement issued by the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu.

A grand event was organised in Israel at the initiative of renowned Israeli artist Ted Barr together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel, gathering more than 200 Israeli artists, to collect paints and painting materials for the benefit of the Nepali children affected by the devastating 25 April earthquake.

According to the embassy, the art materials so collected were distributed through the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu and Bajra Art Mandal.

Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Yaron Mayer also attended the workshop. “Kathmandu Colors symbolises the collaboration between the peoples of our countries and the love they have for each other. These colors are not mere colors but a hope towards light,” he said.
