Attack on Afghanistan army base condemned
Kathmandu, April 23
Nepal has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Balkh province of Afghanistan on April 21 that caused a heavy loss of lives and left many injured.
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today sent separate messages to President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, extending heartfelt condolences to him and through him to the bereaved families as well as to the people and Government of Afghanistan.
The president and the prime minister also wished speedy recovery of those injured, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release.
Reiterating Nepal’s position of condemning terrorism in all forms and manifestations, they expressed support to efforts to counter terrorism and bring to justice those responsible for such heinous acts.
