KATHMANDU: The government presented the 53rd annual report of the Office of the Auditor General in a meeting of the Legislature-Parliament held today.

Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Hitraj Pandey presented the report on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

Similarly, Bhishma Raj Aangdembe, Chairman of the Industry, Commerce and Consumers' Welfare Committee, presented the report of the Committee related to Industrial Enterprise Bill, 2016.

The report notes that it shall be the responsibility of the concerned industry to minimise the adverse environmental impact in course of running the industry.

Presenting the report, Committee Chair Angdangbe said since industries were the foundation of the nation's prosperity, there was a need to put an end to politicisation in the sector.

The next meeting of the Legislature-Parliament shall be held at 2:00 pm tomorrow.
