Avoid undue pressure: PM to TRC, CIEDP
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday told the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP) to perform their duties notwithstanding undue pressure.
While receiving the annual interim reports presented by the transitional justice mechanisms today, the Prime Minister said that the TRC would not be able to find the facts and figures under pressure, Prime Minister's press advisor Pramod Dahal said.
Stating that many complex tasks have moved ahead via peace process, the Prime Minister directed the Commissions to make their works balanced and practical.
Likewise, PM Oli assured the CIEDP that the government would help it to make conducive environment for its attempts to find disappeared persons.
