Ayurveda Campus lockout lifted for five days

Kathmandu, September 29:

The lockout at the Ayurveda Campus in Naradevi was lifted today for five days after the dean’s office, the campus administration, student bodies, and intern doctors formed a committee to look into the students’ demands. The committee formed under the coordination of professor Dr Trilok Path Thapa, the assistant dean of the Institute of Medicine, will submit its report on the matter in five days.

Demanding that they be heard, the students padlocked the campus for six days and locked out the Outpatients Department yesterday. “The lockout has been lifted only for five days,” Pradip Neupane, the acting FSU chairman of the Ayurveda Campus, said, warning decisive protests would be staged if the report fails to live up to their expectations.
