KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Secretary and former finance minister Barshaman Pun was taken to Thailand for further treatment today.

Earlier, Pun was treated at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, India, after suffering from jaundice and liver-related diseases.

UCPN-Maoist Spokesperson Dinanath Sharma said that Pun was taken to Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital in Thailand for further treatment though some improvements were reported following the treatment at the Medanta Hospital.
