Bhaktapur back to normal
Kathmandu, February 17:
Life at Bhaktapur returned to normal today as the last funeral rites of Gangaram Lageju, who was killed in curfew on Friday night, were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today.
Police at Bhaktapur said that few people burnt tyres early in the morning at Byasi, but the protest didn’t continue for more than an hour. “The situation is back to normal,” said inspector Deepak Dhungel.
Meanwhile, the Bhaktapur Municipality started cleaning the historical sites, damaged during the vandalism. Local Ram Sharan Mool said agitators have cooled down. “They are now mourning the death of Lageju,” he said.
