BHAKTAPUR: A fire that broke out at a plastic factory in Changunarayan-4 of Bhaktapur district on Tuesday night gutted property worth over Rs 2.5 million.

The fire that was sparked due to an electronic short circuit at the factory owned by Saraswati Timilsena reduced raw materials and machines to ashes, according to the Metropolitan Police Sector, Kharipati.

Police and the locals had brought the fire under control.
