KATHMANDU: A septuagenarian was killed after a youth hit him with a ball of mud over a minor dispute in Jhaukhel, Changu Narayan Municipality-7 of Bhaktapur, on Tuesday.

Local Gopal Hamal (70) was attacked by his neighbor Gautam Malla (22) with a ball of mud over use of water from a well that lied at the border between their lands.

The old man was rushed to Iwamora Memorial Hospital in Bhaktapur, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, police arrested Malla for further investigations.
