KATHMAMDU: Last rites of Bharat Bhurtel, who reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself, were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat as per the Hindu tradition on Saturday.

His funeral pyre was lit by Laxmi, the widow of the deceased. Bhurtel, a journalist and biographer of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, was

found dead in a bathroom of Hotel Pashupati in Gaushala on Friday. Professionals and

his next of kin attended the funeral.
