Bijukchhe for all-powerful prez

Kathmandu, April 29:

President of Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe today stressed on the need for a powerful president in the next module of government to be formed.

Speaking at the central committee meeting, he said only a strong president would lead the country to a better future.

He said federal system based on ethnicity could lead to country’s disintegration and opined that the same should be based on geography.

All the central committee members presented their reports on election and post-election situation in the meeting.

However, no decision was taken on the issue of selecting the party representative for the proportional representation system of the constituent assembly election.

“We’ll dwell on the proportional representation representatives in our next meeting that will take place tomorrow,” said Sunil Prajapati, a constituent assembly member of the party said.
