Bijukchhe predicts govt change, says Nepali Congress will lead new ruling coalition
KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe said that the government will change after the 13th General Convention of Nepali Congress, scheduled for March.
Speaking at an interaction with media in Bhaktapur today, Bijukchhe said that Nepali Congress will lead the new government, incorporating the Madhesi parties.
He pointed out the possibility of CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist also joining hands to form the coalition government in the Nepali Congress leadership.
He expressed his concerns over calling back the security personnel, including police and army, from the Tarai region during the agitation, saying doing so has imposed security threat to the general public's life and property.
Bijukchhe remarked that the campaigning for the Nepali Congress general convention shows that the party is rehearsing for executive presidency. He claimed that the Nepali Congress may push for executive president in the country.
