KATHMANDU: A motorbike caught fire while its rider was starting it, in Naya Naikap of Kathmandu.

Nikes Maharjan (18) from Naya Naikap, Chandragiri-22, was starting his two-wheeler (Ba 63 Pa 5549) after refilling petrol at the local Ambe Petrol Pump.

The bike was completely destroyed in the incident, police said.

Police and locals had controlled the fire immediately.

Further investigation is underway.
