Blasts victims seek support

Kathmandu, October 7:

Families of the victims of the September 2 serial blasts in Kathmandu have asked all concerned to help in treatment of their kin and provide the promised compensation.

Issuing a press statement, husbands of Sita Acharya and Bhagawati Bhandari, who are undergoing treatment at the Bir Hospital, expressed hope that the government and political leadership would fulfil the assurance they gave to the families of the victims.

According to them, the condition of Sita Acharya, who lost her right leg, is improving and Bhagawati Bhandari has already returned home after treatment. “Though the condition of the victims are improving, the incident has pushed their lives towards darkness and they need support from the government,” according to the press statement.

Three persons were killed and 25 injured when bombs went off at Sundhara, Tripureshwor and Balaju within 30 minutes on September 2.
