Blood donation camp held

Kathmandu, July 3:

As part of its ongoing fight against stigma and discrimination faced by drug users and people living with HIV/AIDS, Light For Life-helping hands for the community (LFL) organised a blood donation programme here today. A total of 40 people, mostly students, donated blood in the camp. The collected blood was then given to the blood bank. LFL is a non-government organisation established in 2002 and run by former drug users. The organisation aims to create awareness of drug hazards and HIV/AIDS amto people who do not use drugs and are not affected by HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD).
