Bombed VDC out of cops’ reach

Maoists have bombed the Setidevi VDC office near Pharping which is situated in the outskirts of Kathmandu this evening. However, the police force was not able to reach the spot till late night.
SP Deepak Ranjit confirmed the attack which occurred at 8 pm but said the forces could not reach the spot. He was unable to provide details as regards the damage caused to the office building.
According to an official at the police headquarters, the forces would only be able to reach the spot tomorrow. When this reporter tried to contact the Area Police Office Pharping, there was nobody to receive the call. Policemen do not stay at the police stations at nights fearing Maoist attacks, a police source said.
