Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa today directed newly appointed police chiefs of all seven provinces to perform their duties and responsibilities targeting syndicate in different sectors.
Thapa called seven DIGs of the provinces, and acting chiefs of Metropolitan Police Office and Central Investigation Bureau to his office in Singha Durbar and reminded them that syndicate in any sector was acceptable to the government.

It is the responsibility of the home ministry, mainly Nepal Police, to maintain and promote good governance,” added Minister Thapa.
He also directed the provincial police chiefs to act against illegal harvesting of natural resources in their respective areas and initiate legal action against anyone who resorts to violence and anarchism.
