BSF marks 23rd anniversary

Founder of the Bajracharya Study Foundation (BSF), Pundit Badri Ratna Bajracharya inaugurated the 23rd anniversary function of the foundation here on Tuesday.

The foundation aims at preserving and promoting the Buddhist culture, literature, traditions and history of 18 Buddhist monasteries in Kathmandu and the Bajracharya priests at these monasteries.

On the occasion, Pundit Bajracharya said that young people should educate themselves in the rich Buddhist tradition, art and culture. Dr Naresh Man Bajracharya, Satwa Tara Bajracharya and Mani Ratna Bajracharya also spoke at the programme.

Karna Bahadur Shakya announced a donation of Rs 1,11,000 and Gyan Jyoti Kansakar Rs 50,000 for setting up a Buddhist educational institute.
