Buddha’s path emphasised

Dr Jaya Raj Acharya presented research paper on four Arya truth propounded by Lord Gautam Buddha and the present situation of Nepal at a function organised today by Siddharth University Kinkushal Gabeshak and Bikramsheel Mahabir Sinhasardhabaha Religious Development Committee.

Stating that all the major religions had originated in the Asian continent, Dr Acharya said there was also murder and violence during the time of Lord Buddha therefore the principle of non-violence and peace was propounded by Lord Buddha.

The analysis of Lord Buddha is based on scientific system which synchronises with the present modern scientific system he said, adding that the preaching of Lord Buddha are the only alternative to maintain the environment of peace in the country.

He stressed on how the teaching of Lord Buddha could play a vital role in the present context as violence had created a mess in the country and several people had lost their lives because of the insurgency.

Founder chairman of the proposed Sidhartha University Vikshu Dr Sunand Mahasthabir chaired the function. He too emphasised the teaching of Lord Buddha which had the potential of solving the present crisis through peaceful means.

Prof Bhagwan Ratna Tuladhar said Lord Buddha advocated for democracy and Buddha gave priority for individual freedom.

Chairperson of Pakistani Human Rights Organisation Dr Tasnim Kausar said the ultimate goal of all religions is non-violence and peace. Hridayeshman Pradhan noted that religion is a way of discipline and we should not only present problems but the way of their resolution.
