KATHMANDU: A pedestrian was killed when a passenger bus hit him in Bhatedhikur of Suryabinayak-8 in Bhaktapur district on Sunday.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Bilas Deuja. He breathed his last while being treated at Bhaktapur Hospital for his injuries.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 2877) that hit Deuja was travelling from Banepa of Kavre to Jagati of Bhaktapur along the Araniko Highway.

Police said they have impounded the bus and arrested the driver.
