KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died after being hit by a passenger bus in Swayambhu of Kathmandu on Saturday.

The unidentified man in his mid 50s was hit by the vehicle (Ba 2 Kha 2034) at Thulo Bharyang, Swayambhu, KMC-15 yesterday.

Seriously injured in the accident, he was taken to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

But, he succumbed to injuries during treatment, according to police.

Meanwhile, police impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for further investigation.
