CA members oppose PCL phase-out

KATHMANDU: Constituent Assembly (CA) members, who took active part in student politics in the past, on Thursday said that the Tribhuvan University’s (TU) decision of phasing out Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) was not right.

Speaking at an interaction program organised by the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), CA members including Gagan Thapa, Dhanraj Gurung from NC, Raj Kaji Maharjan and Dharmashila Chapagain from CPN-Maoists and Rabindra Adhikari from CPN-UML asked the TU management to withdraw the decision. Representatives from 13 students unions will jointly meet Vice Chancellor of TU Prof Dr Madhav Prasad Sharma tomorrow press TU the management to withdraw the decision.

Student leaders of the ANNISU-R have warned that they would launch a stir if their demands were not met soon.
