Kathmandu, January 10:

CPN-UML standing committee member Jhalanath Khanal has said that the interim government formed after promulgation of interim statute will announce the dates for elections to constituent assembly. Khanal said this at an interaction programme organised by the New Media Club today.

Raising serious concern over the OHCHR’s “incapability” of curbing human right abuses even after the peace agreement, human rights activist Sudip Pathak said: “I have fear that even UN’s role and honesty would be affected in the peace process if it comes under the influence of the government and the Maoists.”
