Cabinet fails to decide on expansion
KATHMANDU: The Cabinet meeting on Thursday failed to make any decision regarding splitting some ministries in order to accommodate more ministers.
Minister for Information and Communication Technology Sher Dhan Rai, also the spokesperson of the government, said the meeting could not make any decision regarding the issue though it discussed it.
It has been learned that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is expanding his 30-member Cabinet today.

The meeting, however, decided to extend tenures of three Nepal Army colonels, namely: Dilip Bahadur Bista, Deepak Ghale Gurung and Tara Dhwoj Pandey.
According to Rai, the government also decided to assign District Women Development Officers to work as District Child Welfare Officers.
The meeting accepted Rs 2.57 billion support from the European Union for a nutrition food programme.
