KATHMANDU: The Cabinet meeting on Thursday transferred 14 secretaries.

Prime Minister's press advisor Pramod Dahal said the Cabinet made a theoretical decision to transfer some secretaries of various ministries.

He, however, said the list of transferred secretaries is not available yet.

A source close to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Bhim Bahadur Rawal also confirmed transfers of 14 secretaries, including Defence Secretary Ishwari Prasad Paudyal.

According to him, Paudyal has been transferred to the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction. He, however, said no one has been assigned for the Defence portfolio now.

Sources said that Narayan Gopal Malego has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs while Lok Darshan Regmi has been appointed the Finance Secretary.
