Cambridge reward for Nepalis
Kathmandu, March 18:
The University of Cambridge International Examination (CIE) rewarded high scoring Nepali students on A and Advanced Subsidiary (AS) levels at a function here today.
According to a press release, Pranaya SJB Rana and Prakriti Mishra of Rato Bangla School were awarded as the top in the world for Psychology and Sociology respectively in A level. Three students from the Rato Bangla School, five students from the Budhanilkantha School, two from the British Council, Kathmandu, and one student each from Campion school, Orient College of Science and Management, The British School, Kathmandu, Malpi Institute and Kathmandu Academy, were awarded for scoring high.
The release also stated that William Bickerdike, CIE’s regional manager of South Asia, presented prizes to the students who achieved high marks in the June and November 2006 examinations at Budhanilkantha School in Kathmandu.
The awards recognised the students as top in the world for Cambridge International AS/A subjects, top in Nepal for Cambridge AS/A level subjects and best in three Cambridge International A level subjects and one AS level subject.
