KATHMANDU: Secretary of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Shashi Datta Pandey passed away while undergoing treatment for jaundice at the Medicare Hospital in Chabahil, Kathmandu on Saturday.

Pandey served as treasurer for two decades before he became secretary of the CAN. He was honored with life time achievement award in the golden jubilee of International Cricket Council for his outstanding contribution to Nepali cricket in July.

His last rites would be performed after arrival of his son and son-in-law from US.
