Students attacked

KATHMANDU: Two persons riding a motorbike attacked students travelling by a college bus in Kapan- 1, Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, the duo attacked British Gurkha College students with Khukri. Three students sustained minor injury in the attack. “The gang stopped the bus, barged into it and attacked them,” said the police. The motive behind the attack was not immediately known. The police have launched a manhunt to track down the assailants.

NA consultative meet

Kathmandu: The Nepali Army on Tuesday organised a consultative and coordination meeting of principal staff Officers, division chiefs and directors of different directorates. In the meeting, division chiefs presented their annual reports, existing problems, current status and future plan. During the meeting, Chief of Army Staff Chhatra Man Singh Gurung, briefed the chiefs of divisions about Nepali Army’S policy on integration of Maoist combatants, UNMIN’S existing role and current debates and army stand on the proposed security sector reform.
