KATHMANDU:  Property worth Rs 723,000 has been stolen from different parts of Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts on Sunday.

The cash amount and gold ornaments worth Rs 482,000 was stolen from the rented room of Sabnab Kanu in Ekata Basti of Budanilakantha Municipality-11.

Similarly, the thieves stole valuables worth Rs 142,000 from the rented room of Sujan Tamang in Lolang of Tarakeshwor Municipality-9,.

Tamang was a permanent resident of Gairigaun-9 in Nuwakot.

Likewise, property worth around Rs 103,000 belonging to Krishna Bahadur Chaulagain was stolen from his rented room in Satdobato of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-15. Chaulagain was a permanent resident of Sindhuli district.

The thieves are on the run while police are doing further investigations regarding the cases.
