Cash, jewellery stolen, CPUs looted

Kathmandu, January 6:

A case of robbery and three theft cases were reported in Kathmandu valley yesterday.

Two unidentified persons robbed three Centre Processing Units of computers from Om Gurukul Educational Family, a tuition centre, run by Kumar Shahi at Lalitpur last night. Police said, the group overpowered Shahi, who was asleep, and took away the computer parts from the institute.

At Maitidevi, property worth Rs 80,000 was reportedly stolen from the rented room of Til Kumar Shrestha yesterday afternoon when there was nobody in the house.

The police said Rs 10,000 in cash and four tolas of golden jewellery were stolen from the room. Thieves broke open the room lock and decamped with the property.

Property worth Rs 40,000 was stolen from the rented room of Raju Bhatta at Soalteemode. The thieves made away with Rs 6,000 and other valuables from the room yesterday evening.

In another incident, four unidentified persons stole Rs 32,000 in cash, golden jewellery and a mobile set from the rented room of Rabi Pal at Bangemuda, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-25. There was nobody in the house when the theft took place.
