CDC to hold talent hunt contest

Curriculum Development Centre is planning to organise nationwide talent hunt programme for school students from mid-May.
Officials said the programme will give students a platform to showcase their talents in various events. Contests will be held between students in areas of literature, arts, music, dance, science and mathematics.
“Students from Grade I to X will be allowed to participate in the event,” said Prakash Sapkota, assistant district education officer of Kathmandu. “We will hold the programme all 75 districts and select students for the regional and national competition,” he added.
The CDC has been organising the Talent Hunt for the past five years now. A budget of Rs 100,000 has been allocated for progamme. Kathmandu is organising the district-level talent hunt contest at Siddhartha Banasthali Institute, Balaju in mid-May.
The main objective of the programme is to provide students an opportunity to hone their talents, said Sapkota.
