Kathmandu, November 20:

The Tribhuvan University Central Department of English (CDE) started receiving entrance examination forms for the MA programme after the department and the student bodies reached an agreement today to allow all the students to sit for the entrance test.

The Nepal Students’ Union and NSU affiliated to NC-D had locked out the department on November 15 after CDE announced that only the students securing more than 45 per cent

in BA were eligible for the entrance examination for MA in English.

Pranay Singh ‘Munna’, president of NSU’s TU committee, said the CDE has agreed to let all the students to sit for the entrance examination. The talks were held between professors and student bodies. The students had padlocked the CDE after it decided not to receive forms from the students with third division in BA.
