CEC blames king for not being on voter list
Kathmandu, April 8:
Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokharel said king and his family were themselves to be blamed for missing the historic Constituent Assembly election that will decide the fate of the monarchy itself.
Pokharel said it was the responsibility of the king and the members of the royal family
to register themselves on the voters’ lost.
“I just know that there are more than 17.4 million people on the voters’ list and I don’t know if the King is on the list or not. It is the responsibility of the voters themselves to register their names,” Pokharel said today in response to a query from mediapersons why
king and royal family members’ names were not on the voters’ list.
