KATHMANDU, APRIL 11

Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has stated that the present electoral system has failed to maintain stability and therefore requires correction.

Leader Koirala argued that the frequent changes in government are caused by the mixed election system.

Inaugurating the second district convention of the Nepali Congress Dang chapter on Thursday, he further expressed the view that weaknesses in Nepal's Constitution of 2072 need to be addressed to ensure political stability in the country.

He emphasized the need for consensus between the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) to move the nation forward.
